Mr. Loy Joon How, President of the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA), represented TEA at the UFI Association Committee Meeting at the UFI Asia-Pacific Conference 2026, held on 5–6 March 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The conference is a key regional platform for professionals in the exhibition industry, providing an opportunity for industry leaders and stakeholders to exchange insights, stay updated on major industry trends, and build collaborative networks with experts from across the Asia-Pacific region.
TEA’s participation reflects its role in connecting Thailand’s exhibition industry with the international community, while keeping pace with emerging trends and developments that will shape the future of the industry.
The year 2026 is filled with new business opportunities designed to help members expand markets, grow revenue, and strengthen networks both domestically and internationally.

On 13 November 2025, the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA), represented by Mr. Kavin Kittiboonya, Vice President and Treasurer, participated in a meeting at Government House to present proposed measures under the “Quick Big Win” initiative aimed at stimulating the economy and strengthening the MICE industry. The session was led by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).
The meeting brought together representatives from various MICE associations and related agencies to jointly propose concrete measures to Mr. Napinthorn Srisanpang, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, as part of a national effort to support the private sector and drive economic recovery through the MICE industry.
One of the key proposals put forward was to allow expenses related to participating in trade exhibitions—such as space rental, logistics, construction, and booth decoration—to be tax-deductible at double the amount. The Minister will forward these recommendations to the Ministry of Finance for further consideration.
On 15 October 2025, Thai Exhibition Association (TEA), by Ms. Pantakamol Amatayakul, Standards & Sustainability, participated in the presentation and discussion on the Master Plan for the Establishment of the ASEAN MICE Institute, organized by the Thammasat University Research and Consultancy Institute (TU-RAC) with the support of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB, at the Phrom Phong Room, 4th Floor, Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai.
The meeting aimed to collaboratively develop strategic directions for the establishment of the ASEAN MICE Institute, which will serve as a regional center for developing and certifying MICE professionals and entrepreneurs. This initiative seeks to enhance the excellence of Thailand’s MICE workforce and drive the nation toward becoming a sustainable and leading MICE hub of ASEAN.
On 15 October 2025, the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) participated in the “Visionary Leaders’ Dialogue: Leading Change and Reimagining MICE in Thailand”, organized by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB, at TK Hall (Temsak Krisanamis Hall), 1st Floor, Sasin School of Management, Bangkok.
The event aimed to set strategic directions and define Thailand’s target industries
to enhance the nation’s competitiveness over the next 3–5 years.
The objectives of the event were delivered by Dr. Supawan Teerarat,
Director, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization).
A special discussion was also held under the topic
“Strategic Industry for Strengthening Thailand’s Competitiveness,”
featuring distinguished leaders and experts from various sectors, including:

On October 7, 2025, Dr. Supalux Suvathi, Secretary General of the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA), attended the 2nd TICA Membership Quarterly Luncheon at the Dusit Thani Bangkok.
The session featured a special presentation by Dr. Supawan Teerarat, the newly appointed President of TCEB, who delivered her talk titled “EP1: Change that Matters – Trusted Global Destination & New Ideas.” She shared her vision for advancing Thailand’s position as a leading global MICE destination and presented innovative strategies aimed at transforming the industry for the future.
The luncheon also provided an excellent opportunity for networking and exchanging insights among MICE professionals, reinforcing collaboration and shared commitment to driving sustainable growth in Thailand’s exhibition and events industry.

Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) and the Association of Korean Exhibition Industry (AKEI) have announced a collaboration to strengthen ties and unlock new opportunities in the exhibition industry.
This partnership includes the exchange of promotional space on both associations’ websites to support the dissemination of information and activities, as well as participation in TMX26 in Thailand, where AKEI will showcase a dedicated booth to highlight the strengths of Korea’s exhibition industry and foster business connections between Thai and Korean stakeholders.
This joint effort reflects the shared commitment of TEA and AKEI to driving sustainable growth of the exhibition industry across ASEAN and East Asia 🌏✨
On 26 September 2025, the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) celebrated the official opening of its new office at BITEC (Hall 98), welcoming distinguished guests from across the industry.
The ceremony began with a registration and a Buddhist blessing for good fortune. Mrs. Prapee Buri, Chairperson of BHIRAJ BURI Group, delivered congratulatory remarks, followed by a thank-you address and the official opening speech by Mr. Loy Joon How, President of TEA.
Guests then joined a group photo session and toured the new office, marking another milestone in TEA’s mission to strengthen its role as the hub of Thailand’s exhibition industry.
The Professional Exhibition Management: Project Manager training was held in an intensive and inspiring atmosphere on 22 September 2025 at Jupiter 4 Room, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, with a total of 46 participants joining to broaden their perspectives and enhance their skills in professional exhibition management.
The training began in a warm and friendly atmosphere before moving into the opening session, led by:
