On 5 January 2026, Thai Exhibition Association (TEA), together with the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), paid a New Year courtesy visit to Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, Director-General of the Department of Skill Development, Ministry of Labour. The meeting also served as a discussion on potential collaboration to enhance workforce skills within the MICE industry.
The discussion focused on upgrading the competencies of MICE electrical technicians and promoting the establishment of MICE electrical skills testing centers nationwide, aiming to develop a qualified and standardized workforce to support the systematic and sustainable growth of Thailand’s MICE industry in the future.

On 13 November 2025, the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA), represented by Mr. Kavin Kittiboonya, Vice President and Treasurer, participated in a meeting at Government House to present proposed measures under the “Quick Big Win” initiative aimed at stimulating the economy and strengthening the MICE industry. The session was led by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).
The meeting brought together representatives from various MICE associations and related agencies to jointly propose concrete measures to Mr. Napinthorn Srisanpang, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, as part of a national effort to support the private sector and drive economic recovery through the MICE industry.
One of the key proposals put forward was to allow expenses related to participating in trade exhibitions—such as space rental, logistics, construction, and booth decoration—to be tax-deductible at double the amount. The Minister will forward these recommendations to the Ministry of Finance for further consideration.

“From Complexity to Clarity: The A20 Vision – Resilience. Agility. Leadership.”
Mr. Loy Joon How, President of the Thai Exhibition Association, joined the panel discussion on “Associations in the Modern Era – Purpose, Relevance, and Advocacy,” where he emphasized that in today’s fast-evolving landscape, associations are no longer merely membership organizations but must serve as purpose-driven platforms for relevance, advocacy, and leadership — creating value and advancing the collective voice of the MICE industry across the region.
The A20 Forum, held in celebration of AFECA’s 20th anniversary, brought together public and private sector leaders from across Asia to exchange insights, share strategies, and explore innovations shaping the future of the MICE industry. The event underscored the region’s collective commitment to building a resilient, agile, and sustainable future for Asia’s business events ecosystem.
On November 4, 2025, Dr. Supalux Suvathi, Secretary-General of the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA), participated in a consultation meeting titled “Thailand’s Participation in Global Events: Government Representation and Pavilion Management”, held at the Ballroom, 7th Floor, The Landmark Bangkok Hotel.
This meeting was organized by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) to gather insights, recommendations, and in-depth perspectives from all sectors—government, private, and experts in Thailand’s MICE industry.
The discussion focused on Thailand’s role and strategy in participating in global platforms such as Specialised Expo and World Expo, with a goal to collaboratively shape the direction of managing the Thailand Pavilion in a way that effectively and sustainably reflects the nation’s identity on the global stage.

The event “TEA InnoTech Talk #1” organized by the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) on October 3, 2025, at Jupiter Room 4, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, has been officially certified as a Carbon Neutral Event.
📍 This achievement reflects TEA’s strong commitment to driving the Thai MICE industry toward genuine sustainability, in line with the BCG Economy (Bio-Circular-Green) model. The association places great importance on minimizing environmental impact while also creating an inspiring platform for the younger generation in the exhibition industry.
On 15 October 2025, Thai Exhibition Association (TEA), by Ms. Pantakamol Amatayakul, Standards & Sustainability, participated in the presentation and discussion on the Master Plan for the Establishment of the ASEAN MICE Institute, organized by the Thammasat University Research and Consultancy Institute (TU-RAC) with the support of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB, at the Phrom Phong Room, 4th Floor, Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai.
The meeting aimed to collaboratively develop strategic directions for the establishment of the ASEAN MICE Institute, which will serve as a regional center for developing and certifying MICE professionals and entrepreneurs. This initiative seeks to enhance the excellence of Thailand’s MICE workforce and drive the nation toward becoming a sustainable and leading MICE hub of ASEAN.
On 15 October 2025, the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) participated in the “Visionary Leaders’ Dialogue: Leading Change and Reimagining MICE in Thailand”, organized by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB, at TK Hall (Temsak Krisanamis Hall), 1st Floor, Sasin School of Management, Bangkok.
The event aimed to set strategic directions and define Thailand’s target industries
to enhance the nation’s competitiveness over the next 3–5 years.
The objectives of the event were delivered by Dr. Supawan Teerarat,
Director, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization).
